Wanpen Phommalavong

Bangkok, Don Mueang

"The Getting-Started Guide was the first thing I found that actually explained the stages clearly without making me feel like I needed a law degree. My husband and I read it together over two evenings and came away knowing exactly what we still needed to find out β€” and where to look."

"The Records Organisation Package helped us get three years of accumulated paperwork into an actual system. The checklist was particularly useful β€” we discovered a couple of documents we were missing and were able to sort them out. Honestly more thorough than I expected for the price."

Napatsorn Thammasat

HR Manager, Bangkok

"We rolled out the employer toolkit last quarter across our Bangkok office β€” around 180 staff. The rollout guide was clear and the session outlines saved our HR team a significant amount of preparation time. Staff response has been positive, particularly among employees who are newer to Thailand."

"I had been putting off starting any household planning for over a year because I found everything about it overwhelming. The Kithward guide broke it into stages I could actually process. I am still working through things, but at least now I know what the stages are and roughly what order to approach them in."

"The Records Organisation Package gave us a structure that actually matched how documents flow through a Thai household β€” rather than a generic Western system we then had to adapt. The labelling templates have held up well and my mother-in-law has adopted the system too, which I did not expect."

HR Director, Samut Prakan

"Our company needed a way to offer something practical on family planning without getting into territory that should be handled by a lawyer or specialist. The Kithward toolkit threads that needle very well. It is clearly informational, which means we can distribute it confidently without worrying about overstepping."

A closer look at three experiences

How three different clients moved from uncertainty to a clearer starting point.

A young couple starting household planning from scratch

The situation

A couple in their early thirties, recently married in Bangkok, were aware they should be thinking about household planning but had no idea where to start. Both had busy work schedules and found online information either too complex or aimed at people who already understood the system.

What they used

The Getting-Started Family Guide provided the couple with a clear map of the planning landscape β€” what stages exist, roughly in what order, and where official information is held for each. They read it at home across a weekend, with no deadline or pressure.

What changed

Within two weeks they had identified three priority areas to explore further and had booked an appointment with a relevant professional for one of them. The guide gave them a starting framework β€” they brought their own decisions to it.

"It felt like getting directions from someone who had walked the route before, rather than a map that assumed you already knew where you were."

A household with years of unsorted documents

The situation

A family of four in Bangkok's outer districts had accumulated nearly a decade's worth of household documents across four different storage systems β€” some digital, some in folders, some in envelopes. They knew they were missing things but had no way to identify what.

What they used

The Records Organisation Package gave the family a sorting structure and a checklist of commonly needed documents. They worked through it over three weekends, consolidating everything into one clear filing system using the provided labels and category guides.

What changed

The family identified seven documents from the checklist that they were missing and arranged to obtain them. The organised system has since been used when dealing with a government registration matter β€” documents were located in minutes rather than hours.

"The checklist was what really made the difference. We went from vaguely knowing we were missing things to having a specific list we could work through."

A Bangkok employer rolling out family support for staff

The situation

A medium-sized company in Lak Si wanted to include household planning information in their employee wellbeing programme. The HR team was small and did not have the time or background to produce their own materials. They needed something ready to distribute without adaptation.

What they used

The Employer Family Information Toolkit arrived digitally with a staff information booklet, two session outlines, a rollout guide, and a staff FAQ sheet. The HR team ran two lunchtime information sessions using the outlines within three weeks of purchase.

What changed

Attendance at both sessions exceeded expectations. Staff feedback indicated that several employees had not known where to start with household planning; the sessions gave them a framework and pointed them to the right official sources. The company plans to repeat the sessions annually.

"Our HR team ran the sessions without needing to become experts themselves. The toolkit did that part for them."
